Mosaic 1 Grammar Silver Edition Answer Key The first flight took place on 26 October 1919 and the test was a success. The Armstrong-Siddeley «Flying Flea», powered by a 45 hp four-cylinder engine, reached an average speed of 43 mph (70 kmh) in level flight. It was later succeeded by two further single-seat biplanes. The second aircraft was the Armstrong-Siddeley «Flying motor», powered by a 150 hp Armstrong engine. Biplane was intended for use in general aviation and was not intended to compete with heavier aircraft such as the Curtiss. The third aircraft was the Armstrong-Siddeley «Flying jack», a larger single-seat two-boom biplane. It was developed as a trainer and equipped with a 150 hp Armstrong engine. The fourth was the Armstrong-Siddeley «Flying lady», a larger single-seat three-boom biplane. It was powered by an Armstrong engine of 250 hp. During the early 1930s Armstrong Siddeley announced a number of proposals for its monoplane aircraft, with the Armstrong «Monarch» intended as a roadable, two-place utility aircraft and the Armstrong «Monarch-II» as an agricultural aircraft. Other Armstrong planes were the «Ranger» and «Comet» farm aircraft. The fifth aircraft was the Armstrong-Siddeley «Air Hawk», a single-seat monoplane fighter intended for export. It was powered by a 200 hp Armstrong engine, later increasing to 250 hp. Armstrong also developed a trainer version of the «Monarch». Armstrong was also involved in experimental aircraft development. When the first prototype of the «Fairey Rotol» flying-wing aircraft crashed at Farnborough, Armstrong were asked to supply Rotol with engines and parts for their own projects. Armstrong also developed the «Stingray» missile, an artillery guided missile designed to attack ground targets. The sixth was the Armstrong-Siddeley «Flying hound», a trainer for army aircraft equipped with a gun and rockets. The seventh was a trainer variant of the «Flying jack» which served with the RAF’s Air Cadet Force. The eighth aircraft was the Armstrong Siddeley «Flying taxi», intended for use as a fixed-wing aircraft taxi 3e33713323
