Creating digital images Photoshop is a powerful image-editing tool, but it’s not as great for printing. For example, it doesn’t create print-ready images. That means that it doesn’t automatically convert your file to a format that’s optimized for printing. If you want a high-quality, print-ready image, you need to use a third-party program, such as an off-the-shelf photo printer. But if you’re after more than just making a simple edit, or if you need to use Photoshop to create a mix of different media, then you have plenty of ways to get the results you need.

Factors responsible for giving birth at home: role of health professionals in rural India. Our purpose was to assess factors responsible for giving birth at home in a rural area in India. Of 3,690 infants who were born in the study area of Rohini, Kanpur, from February to November, 1988, 1,052 (29%) were delivered at home. In nearly one-third (31%) of cases, no obstetric provider was present at the time of delivery. Twenty-five percent of mothers and 49% of fathers had no formal education. In the majority of cases (71%), birthing mothers were assisted by a male relative. Reasons for home delivery included lack of health care providers (61% of mothers), fear of losing the newborn (18%), incomplete antenatal care (14%), malnutrition (10%), and delayed progress of labor (8%). Similarly, fear of losing the newborn (66%) was the primary reason cited for delivering at home by the fathers. Indications for home delivery included lack of local obstetric providers (63% of fathers), inadequate antenatal care (21%), and a general lack of knowledge about the benefits of prenatal care (21%). Few mothers (16%) gave birth at a health facility due to fear of losing the newborn. In rural India, home delivery is common, due in large part to inadequate numbers and/or lack of qualified health care providers. The caregivers’ decision to give birth at home rather than at a health facility may be influenced by prior knowledge of the dangers of a home delivery and the socioeconomic conditions of the household.
